http://cgi.ebay.com/NORTH-FACE-DOWN-JACKET-PARKA-NEW-W0T_W0QQitemZ300030717929
I've not seen a Greenland with Summit Series Logo before, much less on the right shoulder. The seller doesn't say it's a Greenland, but if it's not, does any body else have an idea what else it might be?
How long have they made the Greenland, and does anybody know if it has ever been a part of the Summit Series? The seller says it is new without tags so is it even appropriate to discuss how old it would have to be in order to have the logo on right arm?
I've requested additional pictures

Hyvent was around at least in fall 2002 according to the TNF website. By this time the logos were begining to be switched over.
The SS logo doesn't look right, the inside peak is too low and the SS lettering looks even sized (ie justified).
You will know if it's fake or not when you get photos of the SS logo, fur trim and zipper toggles.
There aren't too many SS jackets made from non Gore-tex anyways. The ones that I am aware of are:
Plasma Thermal: Hyvent Alpha Caber Hybrid: HyVent Hybrid Redpoint Optimus: Nylon ??? Summit Jacket: Nylon ??? Himalayan Parka: HyVent ???

Thanks qwerty?
did you mean to say there aren't many SS items made of HyVent?
Do you think this is supposed to be a Greenland?
The Summit Jacket and Himalayan Parka used to be DryLoft, but I'm not sure what they are now. I seem to remember seeing they are HyVent, but I can't seem to relocate that information right now.

There are no SS Hyvents period.
There are SS Hyvent variations, like HyventAlpha and Hyvent DT, but no SS Hyvent by itself.
Also, the greenland jacket was NEVER part of the summit series line.

The seller has posted more images. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300030717929
They're not very good pictures. They look like either camera/phone pictures. or scans of photographs. At any rate, even though they're not very good, I can see enough that I am skeptical of this item.
The Summit Series logo looks off, and depending on the year, could even be on thewrong arm. I've not seen that type of neck tag, with black letters on a white background. I've not seen white tags on a black TNF coat. The seller never told me a style, and did not providr as year of manufacture

very likely fake for all the reasons mentioned above.
if memory serves: the greenland is 550 fill and not 600. 600 fill is usually used in TNF sleeping bags and youth nuptse' this looks like a hybrid of the greenland/furallure ps. the fur looks CRAP

Definitely fake.
In addition to the reasons I have already mentioned, that SS logo is far from the authentic SS logo on a real jacket.
Here's the difference:
Note how it is poorly stitched and uses more rounded lettering as opposed to an authentic SS logo.
Now here are two examples of authentic SS logos:
This is from a 2005 Mountain Light, notice the boxiness of the lettering, unlike the roundedness of a fake SS North Face, as well as the perfect stitching and rounding of the logo itself.
Same goes for this SS Logo taken from a TNF Climb Flight Infusion:

Our site must be getting airtime with VeRO b/c if it weren't discussed in here and only simply reported, it would've been sold with a completed transaction with an unknowing buyer thinking that he/she got something authentic...
Big ups for us...
